Know your site is down before your customers tell you
Most outages aren't found by monitoring. They're found by a customer, in a support email that starts with "is it just me, or…".
By then the damage is done. The site has been slow for an hour, a checkout button has been throwing errors since the last deploy, or one region can't load the page at all, and the check that pings your homepage every five minutes still says everything is fine.
Today we're launching ItsOpen to close that gap. It watches every project you run from the outside and from your visitors' own browsers, so you know something is wrong, and why, before the first support email.
Why we built it
We run several products, and every one of them had the same blind spot. An uptime check tells you whether a server answers. It doesn't tell you the page is twice as slow as usual, that errors jumped after a release, or that a dozen people just tried to report the same problem and had nowhere to do it.
We wanted one place that answers the real question: is this working for the people using it right now? So we built it.
How it works
- Add a monitor. Point ItsOpen at a site and choose how often to check it, from every hour down to every 30 seconds. It checks the status code and, if you like, a word that should be on the page.
- Add the script. One line in your site sends page views, load times, errors and failed requests in five-minute summaries, and adds a "Report a problem" button for your visitors.
- Publish a status page. Each project gets its own, with 90 days of uptime, open and recent incidents, and a form for visitors to tell you what they're seeing.
When something goes wrong, ItsOpen opens an incident and tells your team by email, in Slack or Discord, or through any webhook.
How we're different
It knows what normal looks like. Every monitor learns its own usual speed. A slowdown only counts when it's far outside that, so a busy afternoon doesn't page you, and a real slowdown does. Error spikes and visitor reports are judged against the past week in the same way.
It hears from your visitors. Checks from our servers catch a site that's down. Your visitors' browsers catch the page that loads but doesn't work. When someone reports a problem, you can watch a replay of their visit up to the moment they filed it.
Private by design. The script sets no cookies and sends no identifiers. It keeps page paths but never the query, removes email addresses from error messages, and never records what people type. Visitors with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are never recorded at all.
Built for agents, too. Your AI agents can read monitors, incidents and reports through scoped API keys or Sign in with ItsOpen. Connect a GitHub channel and a visitor's report can become an issue, then a proposed fix, in your own repository.
Priced per organization, not per seat. The whole team can see what's happening. Visitor reports, status pages and the agent API come with every plan, Free included.
Try it today
Every workspace starts on the Free plan, with five monitors, visitor reports and a status page, no time limit and no card needed. Add your first site and you'll have a status page live in a few minutes.
